Part II Releasing yourself from the effects of Fears,

The question I asked in my opening article on this topic was “can we change these fears, phobia’s, stress and anxiety?” My answer is most definitely we have the power to change, but that depends on how bad you want the change. For those of you who have read my book “The Whole Soul” purchased right here on my website, or download the Kindle version from Amazon.com, you will remember reading “change ain’t change til you change!” Many people have the desire to change, but often find it difficult to put in the work needed to make the change. Or they change briefly, only to slip right back into old negative behavior patterns at the sound of external circumstances and situations.

Change is about becoming aware of and acknowledging the need for change; then implementing by doing whatever it takes; finally committing to maintain the change. You will often hear me say that maintaining wholeness requires work – working on yourself, speaking to your chaotic, cluttered, and confused mind; watching your thoughts, and definitely being careful of your words. Remember the old adage: As a man thinks so is he!!! What we often do not realize is that everything in our body from brain to toes is interconnected - interrelated. Everything flowing down through the brain stem right into the vertebral column/spine, and throughout the cellular system. When something goes wrong in one part of our brain, or other parts of the body, it affects every part, mind, spirit, and body.

If we address the issue of anxiety, those of you who are Bible believers know what the Scriptures say about anxiety, right? The question is, do you actually believe it and adhere to it? I think not. Read it again, mull it over in your mind, meditate on it: “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.” [Philippians 4:6-7]

So the meaning of this is two things: don’t worry, have peace. conditions: no worrying about anything. Choose peace, wholeness. Choose life.

Imagine; the birds of the air not even worrying about how to find food; they just peck around until they get full. How much value do you place on yourself? If God takes care of the birds of the air [Matt. 6:26] why wouldn’t He take care of you, the very person He created? Who are you to you? Is what you do on earth significant? What is your greatest desire in life? Can it be fulfilled ever? The answers to these questions go against your perspective of stress, worry, anxiety and fear, simply because many of you are so used to stressing that you don’t even realize it’s a behavior not meant for you. You can create the life you want to live. You’ve become addicted to stress automatically causing toxic issues. So what can you do about it? Two things: (1) Make a decision; (2) Make a commitment that you’re going to change; right here and right now. That is if you believe you have the ability to change the way you think, thereby changing the way your brain functions or dys-functions.

Decide to take control of your mental, emotional, and physical health. Stop giving the enemy legal grounds to be in charge of your life; you take charge. Diabetes, cancer, fibromyalgia, heart disease, high blood pressure, etc. is preventable. Yes, I’m aware that in many cases much of our illnesses are genetic; however, all these things travel through the bloodline manifesting years after your parents and grandparents are gone. We may not always be in control of circumstances, but as I stated in my earlier article, we do have control over how we respond to circumstances. Break those toxic addictions.

First make a decision that fears, phobia’s, stress, and anxiety is not part of your DNA. It’s not part of your emotional makeup. Go into this new year making a commitment to break the addictions by transforming old behavior patterns. Commit to a daily practice of replacing those behaviors by getting in touch with your thoughts, feelings, and vibrational frequencies. You will notice the change when you begin to embrace life in harmony, peacefulness, joy, and happiness. There are a couple of books I’d like to recommend, besides my own. Dr. Caroline Leaf, “Switch on Your Brain” and “Emergence – Seven Steps to Radical Life Change, by Derek Rydall. If you find this is all too overwhelming, contact me via www.doctorgayle.com.
